The short version. This website is a place to read about my work and to ask me to call you back. It is not a clinical system and it is not a place to share health information. Please do not describe your symptoms, diagnosis or treatment on any form here - we will talk about that on the phone.
Who runs this website
This site belongs to Be Transformed Counseling and Consulting, LLC, operating as Be Transformed Therapy, 3330 Cumberland Boulevard SE, Suite 557, Atlanta, GA 30339. You can reach me at info@betransformedtherapy.org or 762-585-4974.
What I collect
When you use the consultation form. Your name, email address, phone number, the state you are in, when you would like to be contacted, whether you hope to use insurance, and how you heard about me. I use this only to get in touch with you about a consultation.
When you join the email list. Your first name and email address, and nothing else.
When you simply read the site. Standard analytics: which pages were visited, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device was used, and which site referred you. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
What I deliberately do not collect
There is no box anywhere on this site asking what brings you to therapy, what you are struggling with, or what treatment you have had. That is on purpose. A marketing website is not a secure clinical system, and information like that belongs in a confidential conversation rather than in an email inbox.
This website never takes a payment, so it never sees card or bank details.
Where the information goes
Consultation requests are delivered to my practice email. Email list sign-ups are held by my email marketing provider. Analytics are processed by Google Analytics. These providers process the information on my behalf, and I do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
I may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
An important distinction
Information you send through this website is not protected health information and is not covered by HIPAA. The clinical records of anyone who becomes a client are held separately, under the protections that apply to therapy records, and are governed by the privacy notice you receive when you begin treatment - not by this page.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies for analytics so I can see which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will continue to work.
The email list
You can leave the list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, and I will not email you again. I do not add anyone to the list who has not asked to be on it.
How long I keep things
Consultation requests that do not become clients are kept for up to a year and then deleted. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email info@betransformedtherapy.org and I will action it.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
